Man was it a Cold December! But there was a fire between Michelle and Chris to warm a day that started out as -30c! The Subaru needed my heat lamp under her engine - I picked her up pre-owned and the original owner kept her warm in a nice cozy garage so he never had block heater installed..

I found Michelle and Chris checked into the Banff Springs Hotel! The Hotel has been so quiet with the sluggish economy we practically had the whole place to ourselves. Michelle was not exactly dressed for the weather so we worked the indoor locations. These kids were a little stiff getting started not thinking they were model quality clients however I am including all the basic formals so you can see how much they warmed up to the Camera. By the time we got outside it was still to cold for nothing more than some quick snap shots.

Lets give it up for Michelle she is one tough Beat Cop and she barely looks cold in the subzero, -25 temps!

Did you check out that first image? Yes, that's another sneak preview of the new experimental photography I am including in my new packages!

Here is what Michelle thought of the surprise image!

The #1 one reason I am in Banff is I love the Scenery! The #2 reason I am in Banff is love photographing couples against the Scenery! My photography style really varies from one couple to the next. Sometimes its the cold weather that keeps the sessions so short that we are making a mad dash to the location to capture a few spontaneous shots while I try not to freeze my hands off while I try to hold still to capture a few great shots.

Most of clients choose me because they want great scenery. Stephanie and Andrew flew all the way from Ohio for my Scenic Locations. Many times due to weather we are limited to use a certain location over and over again however even on cold days that drop well below -20c I still find shots I have not taken before!

I want a unique experience for all my clients and believe me I am going to go out of my way to insure my clients receive the most unique photo service they have ever receive in the Canadian Rockies as Stephanie will confirm. I walked away with my jeans practically frozen to my skin getting the angles just right for their images!

I work to get my couples their images Online within the first week of their engagement. With Pictage and Queensberry now handling all my post edit work my delivery times are really improving. I don't believing in rushing a edit - I see unique moments in every photography session. However, print orders and mail outs in the passing years has really kept me from what I want to do the most and that is make and edit my clients photos. With our new packages our clients are really getting the best of my work because I have time to dream up great images and edits to match. Instead of driving to pick up mail outs, burn dvds and stand in line for hours waiting to mail packages. In 2010 I really believe I am going to take the best photos of my life because I don't have to stress about the mail outs and I can just stay focus on the coverage and edits!

Hi John,
Yes, we were able to get to the website. Thank you again for all of your help. We love the pictures! The backdrop is amazing.

Thanks again for everything!

Brittney and John booked us for a Engagement Portrait Package some time after they booked us for their Wedding. In the 2010 Wedding Season all of our clients will enjoy the Engagement Session included with their Wedding Packages. In the above slide shows only 50 images of the 100 odd photos that were included with their shoot with us that lasted about 2 hours...

Your Engagement Portrait Session is an Important part of your wedding package as this is when the photographer will show how easy it is for you to look like true celebrities on your Wedding day and how to feel comfortable having a camera in your face for the duration of your special day with grace!
